i'm a street fighter too, and a damn good one; but i still know that i will progress A LOT faster with a gym to train at and people to train with that know what they're doing. I listen to what everyone has to say about fighting and sort out the bullshit later. my game is stand up, but i rolled with a pro for the first time a couple weeks ago and i didn't do bad considering i was out of shape, but i've progressed a lot since i've started training with him. he's giving me new skills and helping fine tune the ones i already have... your best bet is to find a gym so you can get the best training possible and some good sparring partners. just make sure you don't go in there with a bad attitude and you give them your respect. I lost an opportunity to train at the best gym around here partly because of my attitude, but also because of my criminal record; he just wouldn't go the extra distance for me because of my attitude. I'm trying to work things out now and, hopefully, i'll have a good place to train with the best instructor in my area and A LOT better equipment than what i have.

thanks man, i appreciate the good things you have to say about me. i will find a gym soon. even if i don't have a good trainer, i can still teach myself a lot from reading and watching t.v.

i respect the sport. i don't respect all the fighters though. just because you respect someone as a fighter doesn't mean you should respect them as a person...

i've been fighting pretty much all my life, but i never really got into mma until a couple years ago. i don't have anyone to train me, but i make due with what i have. i'm smart enough to figure this stuff out. i have one recorded mma fight on our fight club's myspace page: www.myspace.com/norwoodnorfolkfightclub the batteries in the camera died, so it was cut short by about 10-15 seconds of basically the same position, but i tightened the guillotine and made him tap while standing. that was my only real mma fight with gloves; i just bought the gloves for a christmas present to myself and jon is the only person around that will fight me. i've been looking around for more, tougher opponents. if anyone asks, this fight took place in canada; mma is illegal in nys and i think any unlicensed fight is illegal in the u.s., period. (which is b.s. if you ask me)

i totally disagree w/ these. how is bj penn so low on the lightweight? how is he below "the muscle shark"-- he sucks. i also don't see how matt hughes is so high on the welterweight; he's washed up. how can dan henderson be # 2 on the lightheavyweight and # 4 on the middleweight. i think he's probably the best middleweight if he can drop the weight. that also suggests that anderson silva is as good or better than quinton jackson and that all the light heavyweights below dan henderson on your list are not as good as the fighters above him on the middleweight list. how is shogun above forest? forest beat him fair and square. i think forest would beat him again too. also, randy couture is definitely #1 heavyweight until kimbo gets some more experience. you guys forgot a lot of good names and threw up a lot of nobody's to make these smaller companies look good.

thanks. i try not to start fights, but i have sort of a quick temper. i don't hold grudges though; i'm can usually get over a problem almost as fast as i get mad at it.

your face is structured well for fighting. it looks like you have a strong jaw. you should keep your lead hand up a little more to protect your temple and around your ear though. by looking at your facial structure i can tell that the best way to try and knock you out would be from a temple shot.
