tried to get mma training
I tried to get mma training last week. There's a fighting school in Nicholville, a town about 20 minutes from where i live, run by a sherriff with years of mma training. He said he couldn't train me due to my past history and criminal record. There are no violent felonies on my record besides when I punched a kid in the face after he had pulled a knife out and threatened my life; It's bullshit! I'm not happy, but I'm not going to let it get to me. I know he could show me quite a bit on the ground and maybe even some stand up, but i know i could beat any one of his guys in a fight.
I will continue to train myself and I'm going to start training with friends. I'm very smart and i'm going to find and obtain all the information i can through fighting shows and the internet. I may even get some books at the library if they have them. When i have people to train with i can practice the moves and skills on them and teach them the moves after.
I've even made myself a workout schedual so i can get in shape for the marines and mma. it's a 6-7 day a week schedual, depending on what i want to do on saturday. sundays and wednesdays are reserved strictly for skills training and bag excercises. mondays, tuesdays, thursdays, and fridays are reserved for conditioning; i have a 2 day workout schedual for each pair of days. one day is mostly stregnth and muscle conditioning, the next is partly for stregnth and muscle conditioning, but also for aerobic conditioning. i have a 10-15 minute aerobic/muscle conditioning workout i will do every day and i will have a warm up session on the heavy bag and striking bag, and a session at the end of my workouts on the bags.
i'll probably search the net for instructional videos and stuff i can read for mma instructions for a while on saturdays and for a little while on other days during the week. i'll print out anything i can for future reference and try to remember everything i watch. i know i will remember mostly everything if i pay attention, so i'm not too worried about going to some stupid school.
You can only learn so much from a school, but it is the person that makes the fight. whether you win the fight is decided only by 1/3 skill; it is also 1/3 strength and conditioning, and 1/3 heart and determination. My skills are pretty good, but not as good as many; my strength and muscle conditioning are far more than equal to the average mma fighter, but my aerobic conditioning isn't very good; my determination exceeds that of any other fighter, so nobody will be able to stop me once i improve in the other areas.
I'm going to keep training and possible develop my own fighting systems. I will call them slicboxing and slic-jitsu. i will adjust my style according to the fighters' abilities and try to expand the fighters' abilities instead of trying to adjust the fighter according to the style; but first, i have to work on mostly my own abilities, and only partly on others'.
If i could find a good training partner near me, we would probably learn at almost the same pace. I do have one kid in mind that outweighs me by about 30 pounds, but he's well-built. It would be good for me to train with someone bigger so i can work on my strength.
i have it all figured out. i don't need any coaches or trainiers; i can do a fine job by myself. i'm sure i would learn easier at a school, but i'll be all right. i have a great learning ability; i bet i could train for one year and my skills would exceed those of many fighters who have been training 5 years or more. I have a very high I.Q. and can remember anything i care about and i care about fighting more than anything else in my life right now.
i believe i could already defeat many of the fighters i've seen on t.v., including shows like "the ultimate fighter" or wec's "wreckage"; regretfully, i don't have showtime, but i know i could take most of the fighters i see on the undercard fights for elite xc. after i go to college and find a good mixed martial arts school to train in, i'll be in the octagon making professional fighters look like little bitches within a year-- gauranteed!
